Little did the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, New York know in 2010 what was about to happen. After two studio albums and endless touring, Flatbush Zombies have found themselves at the top of the underground hip-hop game. Flatbush Zombies is a three-headed monster consisting of Meechy Darko, Zombie Juice and Erick “Arc” Elliott. Also known as “The Glorious Dead” the trio began to gain attention in 2012 when the group released their debut song “Thug Waffle” on YouTube. The band released its first mixtape, D.R.U.G.S (Death and Reincarnation Under God’s Supervision) just six months later.

Since then, Flatbush Zombies have dominated YouTube, SoundCloud and are now beginning to gain some serious attention on powerhouse streamers like Spotify and Apple Music. To add, they have collaborated with the likes of A$AP Rocky and Joey Bada$$. Their debut album that released in 2016, 3001: A Laced Odyssey, has no song streamed less than 7 million times on Spotify. On April 6th, 2018, their sophomore album, Vacation in Hell was released. Both albums have been received highly from underground fans. On Halloween of this year, the trio also released a single “New World Order”.

Flatbush Zombies has one show coming up on December 21st at The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They will also be at Philadelphia’s HiJinx Festival on December 29th at the Philadelphia Convention Center.  If you can’t make either of these, don’t worry. Flatbush Zombies are no stranger to extensive touring, including festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Panorama and Rolling Loud. Be on the lookout for updates as we close in on 2019. Until then, sit back and enjoy some Biggie Smalls, New York-inspired hip-hop with their Spotify playlist below.
