Mike Muse is the leading voice at the intersection of politics and pop culture

Mike Muse might be the most engaging speaker in the nation today. A co-host on "Sway in the Morning" with his segment "Political News with Mike Muse," and host of his own radio show on SiriusXM's POTUS channel called "The Mike Muse Show," Mike Muse has had a whirlwind journey that has lead him to be at the forefront of politics and pop culture.

A Lansing native, Muse was invited to the White House twice while in high school – once to receive the Blue Ribbon School of Choice Award on behalf of his high school, and again for Boys Nation. He graduated from the University of Michigan with an industrial engineering degree and an academic career highlighted by award winning nuclear research, presidency of his fraternity, and a seat on the National Board of Directors for the National Society of Black Engineers, to name a few.

Deciding that a career in engineering wasn't for him, Muse turned down a lucrative offer at a consultancy in New York to work as a bartender in Florida. While tips and long hours allowed him to make ends meet, Muse was looking for more. After an opportunity to manage a music production company came from a close friend, Mike Muse found a new interest.

Within 2 years Muse had turned the music production company into a record label, at the same time landing deals with Starbucks, McDonalds, the NFL, the NBA, and more.

This experience landed him lecture opportunities at schools like Berklee College of Music, Wharton School of Business, and UCLA Entertainment & Media Management Institute, while also garnering the attention of individuals close to a fledgling presidential campaign in Chicago.

Upon a meeting with Senator Obama’s campaign, Muse was skeptical of his chances, but felt an obligation to support him. Muse became a standout on President Obama's National Finance Committee, becoming one of the youngest persons in America to raise over $1 million dollars for a presidential candidate. Thereafter he was appointed to serve on the United States Small Business Administration Federal Commission for the Council of Underserved Communities as the Millennials in Business Representative, as well as Millenial Entrepreneurial Champion for the My Brother's Keeper Initiative, a program designed to support young African American and Latino entrepreneurs.

Mike is also a Google NextGen Tech Policy Fellow, and has served as a fundraiser for New York City Mayors Bill de Blasio and Michael Bloomberg, New Jersey Senator Corey Booker, and former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

He is also the recipient of the 2016 Cadillac Trailblazer Award, a Network Journal 40 Under 40 awardee, Links Organizational National Trends and Service award recipient, and recipient of the 100 Black Men of America Achievement Award.
